Real Time Freight Packs in its First Meat Shipper
Chicago, IL – Real Time Freight Services LLC announced the launch of its first meat-shipping network today. Jason’s Foods Inc., a national frozen-meat broker, implemented an RTFS network to streamline its truck-finding process by partnering with hundreds of new carriers and brokers. “Basically, it’s just a convenience,” says Dale Wians, Jason’s transportation manager. “We used to fax everybody so it’s a time-saving thing and we’re also always looking for new truck lines, which we have gotten through Real Time Freight.” Operating out of Palatine, IL, Jason’s hires trucks across the Midwest to deliver quality product to distributors in all 48 mainland states.
“Having our first meat shipper online is a huge step forward in expanding our business into another industry that deals in refrigerated hauling,” says Chad Saffro, RTFS’s vice president of marketing. “By bringing Jason’s onboard, we continue to grow our networks and our fantastic base of refrigerated carriers.”
